Join us online for an Open Banking Showcase hosted by Payments NZ’s API Centre – highlighting fintechs and banks working together to put innovative payment options in the hands of New Zealanders.
From 30 May, the four largest banks in Aotearoa New Zealand will be required to offer the API Centre’s v2.1 Payment Initiation API Standard, if they don’t already. As a result, open banking payments will begin to become more available to New Zealanders.
Ahead of this milestone date, our showcase will provide an insight into what open banking payments mean for New Zealanders and how open banking is being delivered.
Philip Cass, API Centre Manager, will open the event with an update on the API Centre’s work to lead open banking forward.
You’ll then see open banking payments in action, with Blinkpay, Qippay, Volley and Worldline demonstrating products already in market or close to release based on the API Centre’s Payment Initiation standard.
ANZ, ASB, BNZ and Westpac will also join our fintechs for panel discussions and talk about what they’re doing to bring open banking to life.
